One Year Ago....

One year ago today William was admitted into the hospital and slowly entered into a coma due to encephalitis. What a year it has been for our little man.

When he woke up from his coma, he could not speak, eat, and had very little movement. After the support of his therapists, doctors, teachers, friends and family he has now regained almost all of his abilities.

Today he goes to school full-time, has friends back in his life to play with, entertains us with his incredibly unique personality, has plans to play soccer again, ride his bike and and swim all summer.

He is still unable to stand or walk on his own - but pretty much uses his walker (with assistance) all the time.

The most amazing thing is he doesn't feel sorry for himself at all and almost never complains. Sure he can be stubborn about doing his therapy.....again.....but his stubborn side has obviously served him well in his recovery.

Thanks to everyone that has supported him and our family throughout this very challenging year. Will couldn't have done it without you!
