After 8 weeks - today Will was able to leave the hospital for a field trip. To celebrate Paige's birthday, we took Will and his roomate to Peter Piper Pizza for lunch. It was a great step and very tiring for him too. Mom was so happy to look in her rearview mirror to see our handsome man sitting in his regular seat.
Will was also upgraded with his swallowing and is now able to eat whatever he wants! Watch out!
We had a delivery today - Will's new wheelchair - the one he can bring home was delivered. This is a great sign and a small step towards home. Our "feeling" is he will be home within the next 1-2 weeks.
Enjoy the pictures from today!

Dear Craig, Sylvia, Will & Paige,
Such great news to find out that Will was able to get out for a field trip yesterday. A big happy birthday to Paige - what a lovely young lady! Kirsty sent us your blog address so we have been following his progress. We want you to know that you are in our thoughts & prayers. It will be such good news to hear that Will will be going home - I'm sure it will be so much better for him to be in his home environment.
We are meeting Craig for dinner tonight at a pub in Chilliwack. Our best to all of you. Take care of yourselves - we will be watching Wills progress as we know so many others are. Diane & Norm Milne

Hi Will,
How are you feeling? God is watching over you! Are you 10 now? How's your mom doing.
